Council Ossé spoke about how his work in the night life brought him to start his career in politics, how he started organising BLM protest in New York City. He opened up about his experience as a Gen Z city council, the importance of local government and the importance of GEN Z vote.

This week Sade got the chance to talk to the brilliant Nia Thomas, Black woman, multidisciplinary artist, collector, explorer and the founder/creative director of her own label Nia Thomas, an anti-fashion, ethically conscious and innovative, clothing brand founded by Nia herself. Nia Thomas seeks exploration in traveling in order to find fabrics and and inspiration that she can repurpose into unique and beautiful pieces for her brand. She spoke to Sade about finding the places where her brand will be created, how she came about founding an ethical and community based business, and the pros and cons of being a black woman in the business.

First, the girls talked about their feelings on traveling in 2023, balancing stepping out of your comfort zone but still getting some of the luxuries and cliches of traveling. Btw, do you think Cardi B is Black? The conversation on race and how some ethnically ambiguous celebrities use blackness on their narratives got so heated the studio producer couldn't help himself but to speak up.
