This week Sade got the chance to talk to the brilliant Nia Thomas, Black woman, multidisciplinary artist, collector, explorer and the founder/creative director of her own label Nia Thomas, an anti-fashion, ethically conscious and innovative, clothing brand founded by Nia herself. Nia Thomas seeks exploration in traveling in order to find fabrics and and inspiration that she can repurpose into unique and beautiful pieces for her brand. She spoke to Sade about finding the places where her brand will be created, how she came about founding an ethical and community based business, and the pros and cons of being a black woman in the business.
